A Following World
- Paths in the mind and in the air -
Live music, living lights, aerial acrobatics and non-verbal theatre form a dark-toned and mysterious performance.
A Following World is a visual state of mind on the other side of this world. People's actions are led by their sensations and inner compulsions. Their means of communication are music, human body and objects hanging in the air. One has a shoe, the other does not. The performance is spiced by the absurd humour most characteristic of Circus Uusi Maailma.
The voices of the Following World travel peacefully on their inevitable course. Clarinet, theremin, oboe, accordion and double bass create a translucent, slanted and breathing sound environment. Influences are freely associated and filtered from various sources, such as klezmer, Dixieland, chorals and atonality.
Duration: 45 minutes. Age limit 10.
